Hi,
For so many music softwares there are many sites that people can up/down load music. Does anyone know of any such site for ScoreWriter?
Maybe the folks at Genie could add a page that we can up/down load to/from.

THoughts / Ideas.....

Not a bad idea really. A repository for users to share files. This will probably occur once we have the free Overture/Scorewriter software that allows users to view other pieces without owning the full blown product, a viewer essentially.

I've been working my way through the entire Baptist Hymnal (1991) for the tiny little church that I attend. Since there are many smaller churches that cannot afford a pianist, it might be useful for them to have these in Overture file format that they can modify to their particular style and instrument mix. This would be preferrable to MIDI files that are currently available for many of these hymns since they would be a lot easier to modify cleanly.

In the future, I'd love to see a MusicXML Export feature that could accomplish the same thing across a variety of products that people choose to use.

Of course, not all the hymns could be posted, since some, I'm sure, have copyright restrictions.

The Overture-Users group at Yahoo:

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/overture-users/

has a Files section where you can upload scores. It now has the complete chorales of JS Bach, in Overture format. Only 9% of the available 100 mb is in use now, so there's room for lots more.

You need to join Yahoo groups to access this group. That's free and unobtrusive, i.e. no spam.
