"c.l.o.u.d.s" - second try with Ilya Efimov Nylong

The poem “Wolken” by Hermann Hesse inspired me to the tune of “c.l.o.u.d.s” .

Beatrix Bolena, the guitar teacher of Christina Macho, Denise Berndl and Julie Staller, 13 year old young ladies, suggested a composition for flute and guitar trio. “c.l.o.u.d.s” will have the first performance with my son Oskar Marijan (flute), 10 years old, the SACRE COEUR guitar trio and at the Summer Concert in June 2011 of the SACRE COEUR School in Vienna.
The composition is a total throwback to the romantic era.
Hopefully I am able to produce a video of a life performance in my studio soon.

:-) Jovan

BTW: Below the poem by Hermann Hesse, a famous german author (1877-1962). Hermann Hesse got the Nobel prize for literatur for his novel "Steppenwolf"!

Wolken

Wolken, leise Schiffe, fahren
Über mir und rühren mich
Mit den zarten, wunderbaren
Farbenschleiern wunderlich.

Aus der blauen Luft entquollen,
Eine farbig schöne Welt,
Die mich mit geheimnisvollen
Reizen oft gefangenhält

Leichte, lichte, klare Schäume,
Alles Irdischen befreit,
Ob ihr schöne Heimwehträume
Der befleckten Erde seid?

(August 1903)

Sorry I cannot translate this poem into English

This is really a wonderful piece, light, entertaining and a great combination of instruments..... even without "Sacher" torte 8)
