Based upon:

Commemoration of Allied Bombardment
The annual ceremony was held yesterday in Bezuidenhout in The Hague commemorating the bombardment there in the Second World War. The area was bombed by the Allies by mistake, resulting in 600 civilian deaths. The Allies were actually aiming at German rockets stockpiled in the nearby Haagse Bos.

By the way: the bombardment took place at about 09.00 hrs in the morning (according to my literature) of March 3, 1945.

Very nice orchestration and acoustic rendering!!
You brought out European orchestral sound from the Hollywood orchestra. How did you do that? What monitor speakers or headphones are you using?

How? I really don't know how to tell you. I just did. For the record: I don't have Hollywood strings or anything Hollywood-like. It is just EWQL SO. After playing it thru Cantabile I just went to SONAR for adding a bit of reverb, in this case The Schubert Saal in Altiverb (Yes, I amended the Mp3 in Box.net with this).

I didn't use any monitors with this, it is all headphones AKG K271 MKII which I calibrated according to:

1. my ears
2. recordings of Bruckner(monitors KRK Rokit 8 versus headphones).
3. a bit of luck.

Shall I display my Cantabile setup with the PLAY stuff on Box.net to get the idea? Just tell me and I will.

Thanks.
I suppose the Schubert Saal IR might be the key.

Hi Robert,

Quite a large scale and meaningful work...I really appreciated the musical variety and changes as well as the purpose behind the composition itself.

Thanks for sharing it.

This is beyond my understanding. I am not Robert. I am just the Raymond. You know, that guy from The Netherlands, who thinks he can compose some meaningful music..........

Raymond - and I don't have a brother..

lol!

In the end...thankfully it turned out to be a mistake not too far beyond your understanding...and my apologies for the confusion Rob....errr I mean RAYMOND!

Also - although music can be quite subjective...you did accomplish quite a meaningful piece!
