Hi all, here I have done a litthe relaxed, jazzy piece for string quartet, called "lazy evening"... once again, I feel Overture is the ideal companion for the modern composer, I really mean it. It's the first time I have this feeling that the developer is a real musician.

I won't I speak for everyone here who uses Overture, but I completely share your view. Overture's been constructed from the outset to be the "composer's" tool; allowing for unhindered creativity. Overture 5 will continue along these same lines and, in fact, will prove to be even more productive as composer's tool, and will be even easier to use.

n.b. I tried to download and open your OVE file, but it crashes on my end. Perhaps someone else can try to verify this?

BTW, nice composition. Is this the Vienna string library I'm hearing?

Bern,
Same thing for me, but I just get a blank page that does nothing. I thought I would just download the .Ove file and play it, but I get "Page not found", so go figure.

There have been a lot of files I could not listen to online, lately. Maybe its a Mac/PC thing. I usually can, however, download the files to my desktop and listen to them manually. I prefer DropBox.com. You get a link that can be plopped into your announcement. These links always work.

thank you, Bern! Yes those are VSLse solo strings...
as for the file, you're right, it crashes here too... I don't know why, the file is ok if I look at it on the site, but once downloaded the size is wrong. Might be a problem with the .ove extension? mmm...

Beautiful... How did you get the program to play with so much expression?

thank you! I play all the parts in realtime using a breath controller, then go through the score and adjust a few wrong notes, keyswitches here and there...

I hear lovely hints of Ravel's Quartet in F, but I hear 100% Soggetti! :D And that is good!!

I still get a "page not found" for the Ove file.

Jim

PS--How My Heart Sings from TRIO '65 coming sometime soon...soon means sometime in 2012. :(

Rob:
Could I suggest that you zip the OVE file and repost a link to the zip.

Regards
