Beautiful music. Every sound is vivid.
I have thought all along that QLSO's woodwinds doesn't sound so real, but today I heard satisfactory reality. Maybe, several types of carefully-tuned reverberation made it.

Thank you Tatsu. A new rendering is about ready, now with SONAR and more carefully reverberation per group of instruments. I will post it under the same link. At first I thought it as a first movement of a new symphony, but decided to call it Ouverture no.1 instead. Among all reasons, I don't have time enough writing that 2nd symphony. I am following lessons and at my age these theoretical approaches of "music making" take more time than I first planned.

I'll keep you posted,

Raymond

Piece withdrawn...... needs some extensive adjustments. In other words: I myself find this not good enough.

So, now it sounds better. Altered score quite a bit. Accented some voices.

Ouverture 1

Used SONAR with Altiverb settings. No artificial dynamics or any other software gadget used. Simply as is.

Hi Raymond,

I think the sound quality greatly improved. High in the previous version was somewhat pushed into distortion. This version is clearer and warmer.
A harmony at 00:39 - 00:40 seems to have "otherness feeling", and if I'm correct, this harmony is never repeated after that until the last minute. I slightly feel "Shoenberg"or something around 09:00, which is beautiful but I feel it's not the way "Raymond" was. :) You got a new paints and materials.

From now, I'll go home for a vacation to meet my parents. See you next week.
