[Solved]Home key

Post by Robert »

Not a big problem but the home key of the computer keyboard don't go back to the very beginning of the score.

Hi, Robert,

Ctrl-Home will take you to the beginning of the score.
On almost no Windows apps does Home go to the beginning of the document.

Best regards, and stay safe.

Thanks Alan, but Ctrl-Home doesn't work on Mac. It's only Home and when I use it, the first beat is always missing. I use it a lot on my DAW and I wonder why Overture doesn't do it correctly.

Home goes to top of page and ctrl[cmd] home goes to beginning of score.
Read the manual.

Home key bring the cursor at the beginning but when hitting spacebar it don't start on the first beat as expected.
Here on 5.6.3-3 Mac OS 10.14.6 cmd-home or opt-home do not work. Home key always goes to the beginning of the score.

Hi Robert,
For playback to work properly, use the rewind button (W). I think that's the standard shortcut, but I may have set it myself. You could always edit the shortcuts to set it to whatever you like best.
At any rate that's the only command I ever use to go to the beginning. I never use the Home key in any combination.
Hope that solves it.

You're right John, rewind key W works properly. This shortcut do not seems to be listed in the manual.
So home is for display purpose only, which is correct.
