Missing Chord Options

Post by theharper »

Hi all! Most folks aren't aware that, on the harp, Fb and E-natural are different notes. Same for F# and Gb, G# and Ab, etc. (Yes, we take enharmonics VERY seriously.) Therefore, I was thrown to discover that the Chord Window does not allow Fb or B# as chord roots. Granted, I was able to create my Fbmaj7 chord using free text, but is there a way to have those added?

Thanks!

Until they add it you could get it indirectly with a chord with root (and bass if necessary) set as the enharmonic equivalent, then select (click to highlight) that chord and do a Notes>Flip>Enh (ctrl-H) which changes both root and bass chord letters.

Thanks John! That worked perfectly! It never occured to me to try the "enharmonic" thing on a chord name (obviously, or I wouldn't have posted anything). While the IT guy in me inherently hates the idea of a "work-around," the User in me is satisfied. Again, thanks!
