Rotatable text?

Post by mkhatting »

How about something that would allow text to be rotated freely? This would really come in handy when aligning the word "gliss." or "glissando" to the diagonal line. Also, to save space in drum notation (denoting where the crashes are, hi-hats, tom solos, etc.), this would be another handy feature.
Cheers!

Great Idea, Mark! I'm with ya on this one. Shouldn't be too hard to program.

Hopefully it would be just a matter of expanding on the gliss/jazzslide tool which rotates repetitions of the trill symbol. And as it is currently, when rotating past vertical the chrs automatically flip in order to remain rightside up and left to right.

Overture 4 Rotable Text flash example

(PC)To save locally, right-click the above .htm file link and Save Target As (its default name).
Then right-click this .swf (shockwave flash file) link.
Save both to the same folder. Running the htm file will call the swf file.

John, I think Geniesoft should hire you to produce a whole bunch of these for distribution with the program in addition to the printed and PDF manual, or available at the web site. They're very good.
