I'd like to be able to set document size, staff size, bar numbers globally for extracted parts, either as a dialogue whenever I go to extract, or as a general preference. I do large ensembles (18 pieces) and I have to go through each part every time making the same changes.

Welcome to the club! :D

There have been quite a few requests/bug reports on part extraction in the past and therefor it's a good thing that you post this one as a reminder.
Actually, I find that part extraction behaves rather sloppy and would love to see the extracted parts linked to the score in the future.

Hi everybody

Yes Bart, it's been talked about a lot. But as you said it's a good reminder. As far as my "little person" is concerned, linked parts would be on top of my list. I agree with you both : working on extracted parts from a large score is long and painful... :?
