I have a document that is merged from several other documents and each has a different measure numbering range and format. Is there a way to reset the whole document and have one continuous set of measure numbers with a consistent format without doing it manually at each section that was appended?

Hi, Julie,

You must first put the curcor someplace in each "section" other than the first (need not be its first measure) and delete the measure number there. That will delete the measure number properties "mark" (not visible, of course) at the beginning of the section, and then the measure number properties from before that will flow through. After you do that to all the "later" sections, the measure numbering should run from the first measure of the consolidated score.

You may need to put the cursor in the very first measure and then call the measure number dialog and set however you want the measure numbers to work and look in the entire score.

Best regards,

Alan
