I am having difficulty regulating the sound levels for the different instruments in a symphonic score. One reason for this is that ASO does not always retain instrument volume levels for a track. I might set the volume slider for, say, -8 but ASO will not retain that level; often I find instrument volumes have unexpectedly dropped to, say, -21. Is there a way to keep this from happening?

The only way I have found to fix this is to change the volume slider to the desired level and save the instrument. But then the instrument goes away from that track (no sound), and when I choose it again I have to reset all the keyswitches, etc. that I had set for that instrument. And then the volume might drop again, anyway, unexpectedly. I am having trouble getting the different instruments at the desired levels in relation to one another.

I can't find a place to check the ASO version, but it was purchased (together with Overture) in December 2019.
