Hi all, here is a music I wrote for a Childs book my sister is making. It was scored in Overture SE 3.5 and the sounds are GPO samples using the KONTAKT™ player. The music and voice over were recorded on a Tascam 2488. The master wave file was exported to my pc, joined at the hip in Audacity and made into an mp3 with db power amp music converter.

I find scoring very easy in Overture but there is one thing I can not figure out how to do. How does one score an arpeggio for piano? When I attempt it I place a whole note on the down beat, then a dotted half note on beat two, a half note on beat three, a quarter note on beat four, but all these notes take too much time for one bar. So what is the secret?

Use eighth or sixteenth notes and put the pedal down.

There is an arpeggio tool in the Articulations palette that might help.
Make a whole note cluster and click the arpeggio onto one of the notes.
(at this point, go back to the Select(arrow) tool, to prevent misclicking unwanted arpeggio pieces)
If desired, double click the arpeggio for the Articulation Playback dialog, and adjust the "Change attack from/to" values.
