Hello,

As you can see in the attached screenshot, some notes linked across multiple bars have a ghost link with a note that does not exist !!
Therefore the note is not played.
Are there any plans to fix this bug?
Best regards

Happy New Year to you too! Yes, if all the fixes and features that Don listed are successful, it will be VERY welcome.

In the new update, I hope Don will restore the Overture 4-style complete channel independence between the upper and lower levels (treble & bass clef) of the Grand Staff for keyboards. We discussed this many moons ago and it was on his "consideration list". Does anyone else miss this feature as much as me?

Pay attention.
You can already do this by right clicking on each staff of a Piano Track and setting it's channel.

Yes, and that's what I have been doing. There was something different in O-4 that allowed the Grand Staff to be uncoupled and completely independent. Oh yeah, I remember..... I used to be able to record OUT to my mixer one half of Grand staff at a time. (separate keyboard on each channel) Now they play concurrently as one.

I don't understand your problem.
OV4 each staff was a separate instrument which is incorrect in notation standards.

You can record each staff separately using the record options.
Remember this is a piano not a flute coupled with a bass guitar.

I know, but it was a nice option. Many of my keyboard parts are scored like Keith Emerson or Rick Wakeman style.... multiple keyboard and synth sounds, in the same score, so I used to love the versatility. Could you maybe put it to a vote and see if many other subscribers like it also?

"Remember this is a piano not a flute coupled with a bass guitar."

Actually, that isn't always the case. Since the Grand staff is also part of notating for organ, the two staves can indeed need different patches. OV5 works fine for this as well.
I just tried giving the bass and treble staffs different organ sounds in GPO, which has many organ patches, and was successful. Likewise, by entering notes on the same staff with different voices (like you would on a staff with multiple players), you can get different sounds on the same staff to accomplish the "multi-synth" needs.

Is this what you need?

PeteFine,

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, we are dead in the water. Program crashes on EVERYTHING after 2 or 3 bars of Playback. I've put the details on the "CRASHES" posting thread......
