Re: Piano half-pedal markings

Don't know if I understand your question right. At the end of a page, just drag the mark as far as the right side of that page and it will continue at the next page. The end of the pedal mark can simply be dragged down, no need for graphic gimmicks. O, life can be so easy (once you're not married :m...

Re: Piano half-pedal markings

Hi Spinosa and very old/good friend Jim. :D Drag the right side of the mark towards the the right as long as you wish. Then alt/drag the 'hills' to the places you want. Just try. It's in the manual allright, but I realize I'm happy to have a paper manual and I do hope Don will give that with Ove. 5....

Re: Change note duration without add rest

Huhh?? Hi Merv, would you please cool down? :) All of us are grateful for the contributions you've made to this forum. Is it the outdated 'crotched/quavers' language that is bothering you or don't you see Oblama's and John's point? Yes, if you are an engraver, you can take time to delete the rests ...

Re: play.SCARLATTI - sonata K1 for guitar

Hi Jovan,

You call this 'making improvements'? Overhere we would call it 'finished lessons'. Both for the flautist and the guitarist.

Yes, I know , these are the Dutch swamps......

Marvelous, to say the least. :D :D

Re: play.SCARLATTI - sonata K1 for guitar

So you did it again Jovan, beautiful work.

Tried to learn to play the guitar a long time ago, failure. How's your son coping with the king/queen of instruments, the flute?

Greetings,

Bart

Re: Need help on acciaccatura

Hello SamKK, First of all: nice to see that you've joined us. :) I second Robert's suggestion, 'Preferences' is under 'Options' in Windows. Should that not solve your problems you could consider to uninstall and reinstall the program. Don't forget to download and install the latest patch afterwards....

Re: Where are we at?

I’m totally in the dark… Hi Merv, So am I. Unlike with Ove.4 I'm not involved in the new project, so I can't tell. But I learned to have patience. Version .4 is good for me and I rather see .5 to be a blast. The only thing one could say to Don is not to write "coming soon" for months and ...

Hi PeteFine,

As far as I know, 'linking parts' are coming with Ove. 5
I second your request about 'ignoring changes'.

Re: Does Overture 3 work with Windows 8-64 bit?

Thanks for that, I do have Ovt 4 when it first came out but had problems with it. I became so busy I didn't have time to follow it up. Sometimes it's better to stick with things you know and can do quickly than have to spend tome relearning a program. Do you recommend Ovt 4.yourself. Chief. Hi Chie...

I have already started working on it, but there are far more important issues to tackle.
That's great news!
Do you have some time to take a holiday? :)

Switch to voice 2. Select text palette and choose Lyrics. Click on the first note and off you go. You can make as many verses as you wish. :D

Pete,

You could check 'Options>Preferences...>Drag notes chromatically', select the note and use the up or down key.
Or maybe I misunderstood your point..... :)
