[Solved]Drum patches and Master.ins

Post by JM_1234321 »

Drum patches and Master.ins

Complex question.

I made a soundfont with different Drum mappings.

I edited the Master.ins (specifically "note names") to reflect the diff drum map keys/notes in my notation prog (ove4).

The changes are recognized in the "options/ [assign] instruments/ define/ note name."

Ove4 has a GM drum list under SETUP TRACK in ove4 prog that won't accept my .ins changes. (see attachment)

Where is that hard list coming from?
It is NOT the drum library ins either.

Also right clicking a track/ "track properties/ patch instrument" won't recognize changes to the master.ins list.
Where is that hard list coming from?

Anyone? (Expert stuff, I know.)

The attached is image of the GM Drum list in Ove4 that will not reflect master.ins changes.

Read about the Assign Instruments in the manual.
There is a process where you assign device/channel to a mapping file.

Ok, that is clear now. Thank you for your answer.
