Hello
does anyone have a suggestion about how to import patch names form Yamaha MOTIF-Rack XS into Overture 4?
The devices is recognized and the patches do change when I change numbers form overture, but I cannot get the bank names and patch lists to show.
Thank you.
M

If Cakewalk/Sonar has that instrument file (*.ins) it can probably exist in Overture as well. The file formats are identical IIRC.Try it! :D You can't kill anything by so doing.

I take it there is no .ins file for it in Overture? I haven't used rackmount gear since I had Three Proteus units.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could send me the midnam for the Motif Rack XS.
Thanks.

It is an instrument definition file that should contain patch names, etc.

.ins files should be found in C:\program files\geniesoft\Overture 4.0\data

EDIT: That location is for PC...are you on a Mac? I have that suspicion.
If so, another user can help you here.
