I am composing a piece that begins with randomly alternating 3/8 and 5/8 time. After a section of 4/4, I want to copy the first part after it. When I do that, the time signatures do not copy -- the notes copy onto measures all with the same time signature. Is there a way to copy preserving the original time signatures?
(I can't do a Da Capo al Fine type of repeat because the first part has repeat marks and I don't want to observe the repeats the last time around. If there was an instruction to go back to the beginning but not observe the repeats, I could use that, but I can't find it.)
