I'm new to your forum. I'm attempting to understand some 4.10 parameters. The issue I'm having is with "dotted notes." Is the "dot" located in the "Note " pallet, to the right of the dotted half note? 2) When in play back mode and the curser scrolling left to right playing notes, is Score Writer 4 capable of playing dotted notes? So far I haven't been able to be successful regarding playback as the dotted notes are treated as if they didn't own a dot.

The full stop (period) key on your QWERTY keyboard adds a dot to the selected note duration when entering with the mouse.

Michael, welcome to the club. :)

There are some manuals that can be downloaded at this site. Some actions are quite simple once you know them.

Normally when you dot a note or rest, you select the note size (1-9), then the Period key to dot the next note or notes that are laid down. If you press Period agian, you will have a double dot, triple dot, then no dot if you keep pressing the key. Press the note size key again (1-9) to undo the current dot size for the next note.

Same-same for rests. Press the note size, R for rests. and Period to dot it.
