Or any beamed notes.....
When I open a new project the default is 4/4 and if I enter 8 1/8 notes, OV beams it as 4 + 4. OK- good...
but then if I change to 6/8, OV beams it as 4 1/8 notes followed by 2 1/8 notes, instead of 3 + 3.

How do you change the beaming pattern to a common 3 + 3 or all 6 notes beamed?

I have tried the beaming fields with no results.

Measures>Set Time Signature>Beaming. Set your Primary to 3+3 after you’ve ‘Set Meter’ to 6/8. Works for me on Win 10 (5.5.4-4)

Merv's exactly right. But 3+3 is the default Primary for 6/8 ... at least that's true here on the Mac with Overture 5.5.4-6

Pete, I'm wondering why you didn't get:

    • Primary 3+3 for 6/8
    • Primary 2+2+2 for 3/4

Yes...it works, thank you! I don't know why it defaulted to 4 + 2... but I'm happy now!
